Position Summary The Business Development Associate plays a critical role in supporting revenue growth, client engagement, marketing execution, and strategic business development initiatives within the multifamily residential construction industry. This position bridges business development, interior design, marketing, and market intelligence to identify new opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and support the executive team in achieving growth objectives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, relationship-focused, and proactive, with experience in marketing, business development coordination, interior finishes, and construction-related industries. This individual will support the entire business development lifecycle from prospect research and pipeline management to client presentations, event coordination, marketing campaigns, and executive reporting. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Client Engagement Research, identify, and qualify prospective clients, developers, general contractors, architects, interior designers, and consultants within the multifamily residential sector. Conducting project, company, and market research using BuildMapper, LinkedIn, industry publications, and other available resources. Accountable for the pipeline development and management by tracking opportunities, project activity, and business development progress. Support business development activities through coordinated outreach, client relationship management, meeting coordination, and proactive follow-up throughout the sales lifecycle. Assisting with follow-up management by maintaining action lists, reminders, and next steps for the Business Development Director and Business Development Associate to ensure timely client engagement. Build, maintain, and leverage prospect databases and CRM systems using LinkedIn, industry publications, project databases, and market intelligence platforms. Prepare client presentations, proposals, capability statements, meeting materials, and executive reporting, including weekly/monthly pipeline dashboards and opportunity updates. Coordinate client meetings, showroom tours, lunch-and-learns, networking events, and related follow-up actions. Business Development Administration Administer the quarterlyl business development plan and coordinate internal actions that support strategic growth initiatives. Monitor and report on business development KPIs, including lead generation, pipeline progression, proposal activity, project awards, forecasting, and executive reporting as required. Maintain accurate business development documentation, CRM records, contact databases, and market intelligence on a weekly basis. Industry Research & Event Management Research, evaluate, and recommend industry events, conferences, associations, sponsorships, and networking opportunities aligned with multifamily residential construction, interior finishes, architecture, design, and development. Assess return on investment and networking value of industry events. Oversea event registrations, sponsorship opportunities, logistics, and attendee coordination. Develop post-event summaries, lead tracking reports, and follow-up plans. Manage the annual business development and marketing event calendar and budget. Marketing & Brand Development Create and gather the collection of project photos, videos, site updates, and other marketing content during project visits, client meetings, showroom tours, and industry events. Support the creation of content by facilitating on-site recordings, interviews, project walkthroughs, and client testimonials when appropriate. Provide timely project updates and field insights to support social media, website content, case studies, presentations, and marketing campaigns. Support Social Media Associate on organic social and marketing materials. Interior Design & Product Support Support client engagement by providing knowledge of interior finishes, product recommendations, finish packages, mood boards, and presentation materials. Coordinate product samples with internal teams and collaborate with clients, designers, and internal teams to align finish selections with project requirements. Monitor emerging design trends, sustainability initiatives, product innovations, and market preferences to support client solutions and business development. Collaborate with clients, designers, and internal stakeholders to align product offerings with project requirements. Visualization & Rendering Support Assist with the preparation of conceptual renderings and visual presentation materials. Support product visualization and finish package presentations for clients and prospects. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Interior Design, Construction Management, or related field. 1-3 years of experience in business development, marketing, client engagement, construction, interior design, or related industries. Knowledge of multifamily residential construction and interior finish packages is strongly preferred. CRM and pipeline management (BuildMapper, Salesforce, Shopify or similar) Marketing, campaigns, social media and content creation Canva and Microsoft Office proficient Rendering/visualization and Adobe Creative Suite considered an asset Strong relationship-building, communication and executive presence Strategic, commercially minded and data-driven Highly organized, detail-oriented and accountable Proactive, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities Confident in client-facing and fast-paced environments Success Metrics New qualified leads generated Client meetings coordinated and completed CRM data quality and activity tracking Business development pipeline growth Opportunity conversion rates Event ROI and follow-up completion Marketing campaign engagement metrics Social media growth and content performance Executive reporting accuracy and timeliness Contribution toward annual revenue and project acquisition targets
