We are recruiting for a Security Officer to work with local businesses and community at the Newton BIA area in Surrey Shift times: Saturday & Sunday 0800 - 1600 Payrate: $24/hr Some of your responsibilities will include: Assisting the RCMP as a visible community presence to promote safety and security Working with local businesses and community members to ensure save environment Observe and report any unusual activity Taking detailed notes to investigate incidents promptly and accurately Establishing positive relationships with transit police, business owners, and community members Engaging with the public and responding to their concerns and inquiries Your Must-Haves: You hold a valid BC security license Basic First Aid Certificate Advanced Security Training Certificate You have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a security position, ideally in a similar environment You have excellent verbal and written communication skills You have proven experience dealing with various members of the public You have proven time-management and organizational skills Be physically able to conduct extensive foot patrols, and to spend your shift up on your feet De-escalation certification Naxalone Training certification Nice to haves: BC Class 5 Drivers license What’s in it for you? Exigences

Candidates must hold a valid BC security license, a Basic First Aid certificate, and an Advanced Security Training certificate. A minimum of two years of security experience and physical ability to conduct extensive foot patrols are required.
