Description: Description: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, collaborating on the delivery of holistic, comprehensive care and support to patients/residents and families. The LPN must be able to team lead effectively on their own. Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required. Additional Required Qualifications: Minimum 6 months of full-time equivalent acute medicine experience within the past two years or a completed final preceptorship on a Medicine unit within the last year. Preferred Qualifications: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills. Excellent assessment and organizational skills.

The Licensed Practical Nurse collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic and comprehensive care to patients and families. They are responsible for providing safe, quality care in accordance with established standards and acting as an effective team lead.

Candidates must be graduates of a Practical Nursing program with active registration with the CLHA and Basic Life Support certification. A minimum of 6 months of acute medicine experience or a recent medicine unit preceptorship is required.
