Description: Description: The Medical Radiation Technologist I (MRT) performs all routine radiographic/fluoroscopic, computed tomography and interventional procedures. The MRT I also produces radiographs of high diagnostic quality in an efficient and safe manner while attending to the diagnostic and care needs of patients undergoing diagnostic/therapeutic procedures. The MRT I is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement. Classification: Medical Radiation Tech I Union: COV HSAA PROF TECH Unit and Program: DI Primary Location: Grey Nuns Community Hospital Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.70 Posting End Date: 26-AUG-2026 Temporary Employee Class: Temp P/T Benefits Date Available: 07-SEP-2026 Temporary End Date: 07-SEP-2027 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 12 Shifts per cycle: 42 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, On Call Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $38.74 Maximum Salary: $51.02 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Required Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Radiological Technology program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) required. BLS (Level C - Health Care Provider) required. Additional Required Qualifications: Minimum of one years' experience as a radiological technologist 1, part of which must be in a medium-to-large hospital setting. Involved in x-ray emitting procedures. requiring the donning of leaded apparel weighing up to 9.5 kg for up to 7.75 hours while assisting with the perimeter of radiation field. willing to learn, and able to effectively communicate any limitation in knowledge. must have current registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologist and be legally able to work in Canada. Preferred Qualifications: Some CT experience. Experience with PEI. Additional qualifications as required.
