Description: Description: The Medical Radiation Technologist I (MRT) performs all routine radiographic/fluoroscopic, computed tomography and interventional procedures. The MRT I also produces radiographs of high diagnostic quality in an efficient and safe manner while attending to the diagnostic and care needs of patients undergoing diagnostic/therapeutic procedures. The MRT I is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement. Active registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) required. BLS (Level C - Health Care Provider) required. Additional Required Qualifications: Minimum of one years' experience as a radiological technologist 1, part of which must be in a medium-to-large hospital setting. Involved in x-ray emitting procedures. requiring the donning of leaded apparel weighing up to 9.5 kg for up to 7.75 hours while assisting with the perimeter of radiation field. willing to learn, and able to effectively communicate any limitation in knowledge. must have current registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologist and be legally able to work in Canada. Preferred Qualifications: Some CT experience. Experience with PEI. Additional qualifications as required.

The Medical Radiation Technologist I performs routine radiographic, fluoroscopic, computed tomography, and interventional procedures. They are responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and care in accordance with hospital standards.

Candidates must be graduates of a Radiological Technology program with active registration with the ACMDTT and BLS Level C certification. A minimum of one year of experience as a radiological technologist in a medium-to-large hospital setting is required.
