Description: Description: The Licensed Practical Nurse - Operating Room Technician (LPN-ORT) works as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, collaborating on the delivery of holistic, comprehensive care and support to patients/residents and families. The LPN-ORT works to the full scope of practice in providing safe, quality care in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the AUPE Auxiliary Nursing Collective Agreement. Classification: Operating Room Technician Union: COV AUPE AUX Unit and Program: Operating Room - MCH Primary Location: Misericordia Community Hosp Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.50 Posting End Date: 11-SEP-2026 Employee Class: Regular Part Time Date Available: 21-SEP-2026 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 12 Shifts per cycle: 30 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Weekends, On Call Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $34.76 Maximum Salary: $45.56 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Required Qualifications: Must be registered with and hold a valid practice permit from College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA) prior to commencing employment. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required. Additional Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Perioperative Nursing program for LPN's with a minimum of three months of recent Operating Room experience within the past two years. Must be able to lift 25lbs and have the physical ability to push, pull, bend, and stand for prolonged periods of time (more than 30 minutes). Demonstrates excellent organizational, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills both spoken and written. Ability to perform consistently in a highly organized and rapid moving environment. Ability to collaborate within the expectations of an integrated team. Demonstrates proven problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Computer skills including experience with electronic charting & Microsoft Outlook. Preferred Qualifications: At least two year’s operating room experience an asset.

Exigences
Must be a registered LPN with a valid practice permit from CLHA and hold a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification. Requires graduation from a Perioperative Nursing program and at least three months of recent operating room experience.
