The Role As Manager, Investment Structure Management, you will provide investment structuring expertise and operational leadership to support CPP Investments’ private market investments throughout the investment lifecycle. Reporting to the Director, Investment Structure Management, you will partner with investment teams, Legal, Technology & Operations, and Risk to establish and maintain investment structures, manage operational risk, and support legal entity governance and compliance. You will also help drive continuous process improvements that enhance the efficiency and scalability of Investment Structure Management. The Team Investment Structure Management (ISM) partners with investment teams and corporate functions to establish, manage, and govern the legal entity structures that support CPP Investments’ global private market investments. The team provides investment structuring expertise throughout the investment lifecycle while promoting operational excellence, governance, and effective risk management. Working closely with Investment Departments, Legal, Technology & Operations, Risk, and other corporate partners, the team supports the successful execution and ongoing management of investment structures while continuously improving processes and operating models to meet the organization’s evolving needs. Accountabilities Provide subject matter expertise to support the structuring, execution, and ongoing maintenance of private market investments, restructurings, and exits throughout the investment lifecycle. Coordinate the establishment of legal entities and work with internal partners to ensure governance, legal, and operational requirements are effectively managed. Manage transaction documentation, timelines, and cross-functional activities to support the timely execution of investment transactions. Oversee the ongoing operational management of legal entities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Prepare and maintain policies, procedures, and operational documentation while identifying opportunities to strengthen governance, controls, and risk management. Build strong partnerships with investment teams and corporate stakeholders to improve processes, enhance operational efficiency, and support consistent investment structuring practices. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance technology adoption, and strengthen operational effectiveness. What You Bring Undergraduate degree or college diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related discipline. Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience supporting investment operations, finance, consulting, project management, legal entities, or investment structuring activities. Professional designation such as CFA, or progress toward obtaining one, is considered an asset. Experience with low-code/no-code workflow platforms, such as Mendix, Python, Tableau, or similar technology tools is considered an asset. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations, identify risks, and develop practical solutions. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills, with experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, drive process improvements, and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
