General Labourer - Landscape/Construction

D&G Landscaping is seeking reliable and experienced Skilled Labourers to support our softscape and hardscape crews on active commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with construction tools, site layout, and general site preparation, and takes pride in contributing to a safe, efficient job site. Key Responsibilities Perform duties such as raking, shoveling, brooming and moving materials (e.g., aggregates) Assist with site layout using measuring tapes, string lines, laser levels, and grade rods Use levels, squares, and layout tools to ensure accurate alignment and elevations Safely operate hand and power tools, including quick cuts, hammers, chisels, mallets, grinders etc Assist with equipment operation as required (skid steer, mini-x, backhoe, tractor etc) Install sod and topsoil, ensuring proper grading and finishing Build and maintain garden beds, including soil preparation, planting flowers, shrubs, and perennials Install mulch, erosion control blankets, and landscape materials Requirements Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or skilled labour preferred Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality work Reliable transportation and strong attendance record Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow What We Offer Competitive wages through LiUNA Local 527 Health benefits package Pension plan Long-term career growth and advancement opportunities Please note: This posting may be used to build a pool of qualified candidates for current and future opportunities with D&G Landscaping and its affiliated companies.
