Position Summary This full-time position is perfect for someone who is flexible and enjoys a variety of work experiences as an AZ or a DZ Driver. Approximately 70% of the role will involve driving duties, which include picking up materials from clients, dropping off materials at receivers, and working off-site at waste collection events. The remaining 30% of the role will be spent on-site as a Waste Technician, where you will be responsible for handling both non-hazardous and hazardous waste materials. This includes tasks such as shipping/receiving, collection, sorting, and packaging of materials to ensure proper disposal and compliance with regulations. If you take exceptional pride in your work, we look forward to the opportunity to meet with you. Responsibilities •Truck driving (AZ & DZ trucks). •Loading and unloading materials. (Physical lifting required up to 50lbs.) •Shipping and receiving of materials. •Managing inventories of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste. •Sorting, identifying, and labeling waste materials. •Preparing and reviewing shipping documents for accuracy and compliance. •Maintaining compliance documentation related to waste management. •Assisting with household hazardous waste collection events at various sites. •Supporting processing activities at the transfer station. •Adhering to and following all health and safety requirements. •Monday to Friday work schedule, with some Saturday shifts as required. Qualifications and Skills Required •Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. •Valid AZ or DZ license (or close to obtaining AZ). •Responsible, reliable, and self-motivated. •Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks. •Mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills. •Environmentally conscious with a commitment to sustainability. •Knowledge of WHMIS and adherence to strong safety practices. •Forklift experience (an asset). •Current first aid certification (an asset). Work Environment and Benefits • Competitive hourly wage ($25/hr, based on experience). • Medical, health and dental benefits after a three-month probationary period. • Full-time hours.
