Dessert Holdings is looking for a Materials Coordinator in London, Ontario to contribute to the success of the Company by coordinating and expediting the flow of materials and products between various production areas and ensures material inventory levels are sufficient to meet production schedules and needs. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage material pallet positioning in all areas of the warehouse (dry, cooler, freezer) Conduct daily counts of materials required 4 days out Assist Inventory Control with daily material reconciliation Manage and direct flow of materials into the plant as well as divert excess to offsite storage Post all transfer order POs off site to keep total inventory correct Determine volume to transfer and execute the transfer order from offsite storage to the plant following FIFO for plant requirements Direct the thaw/temper process for materials offsite, and instruct 3PL operators Maintain accurate inventory in ERP for co-pack locations and coordinate transfers of WIP, CHEP pallets to copacker Establish and maintain cooperative and positive relationships with all departments and customers Qualifications Post-secondary education Minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience in a warehousing or manufacturing environment Practical knowledge of supply chain and warehouse management Demonstrated ability to use technology and/or computer systems for problem solving Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to deal with complex problems and multiple levels of communication within the organization Able to work various shifts and extend working hours when required Excellent communication skills in a team environment both written and verbal About Dessert Holdings Dessert Holdings is a collection of premium dessert companies and brands: The Original Cakerie, Lawler's Desserts, Atlanta Cheesecake Company, Steven Charles, Dianne's Fine Desserts, Kenny's Great Pies, and Willamette Valley Pie Company.
