About this Opportunity Join our team as an Installation & Repair Technician and help deliver the reliable connections our customers depend on every day. In this hands-on role, you’ll complete installation and repair work, conduct site surveys, splice and test fibre, troubleshoot service issues, and provide professional support directly to customers. Position Details Burgessville, ON Full-Time, Permanent On-Site Hours of Work: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as required Rotation of evenings and weekend work Primary Responsibilities: Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and uphold Execulink's Vision, Mission, and Values Complete field work orders for new and existing Fibre services, including installation and repair Conduct site surveys to provide information regarding installation plans or fibre burials Conduct fiber splicing using a fusion splicer Hand dig for service fiber cables to complete installations and repairs Work with various types of fiber splice enclosures Test fiber using an OTDR and interpret the results for troubleshooting Promote and explain equipment and services through demonstration and discussion Maintain a general level of knowledge covering all current equipment, technologies, and standards Investigate and respond to the needs of all customers, both internal and external, according to established procedures Provide exceptional support to our Residential customers to ensure high service levels Travel frequently across our coverage area for on-site visits Maintain regular direct responsibility for customer relations regarding installations, repairs, and outages Receive technical direction from other team technicians Work with the Sales Team to provide information on current service offerings for specific locations Implement and perform preventative maintenance Participate in order and inventory management for all equipment Estimate costs for service installation or repair Ensure vehicle and all equipment are properly maintained at all times Install inside wiring and connect it to outside equipment Inspect and test required hardware Locate, analyze, and isolate issues affecting telephone, data, and video services Repair, remove, or replace faulty equipment used to provide services Promote and explain services through demonstrations and discussions during customer interactions Travel to customer premises to install, test, and instruct customers on a variety of service Other duties as required HR Responsibilities: None Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience Working knowledge of FTTH procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to work collaboratively Proven ability to multitask, plan, and organize to meet deadlines Effective decision-making skills with minimal supervision Strong judgment and decision-making abilities, considering costs and benefits Ability to identify complex problems and evaluate options for implementation Must be open to completing and passing training in Fall Arrest, Emergency First Aid, and Ladder Training Required Skills & Abilities: Ability to distinguish colours accurately Valid Class G driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation Operate company-provided vehicles safely and in compliance with all local, provincial, and federal traffic laws, adhering to company driving policies, including speed limits, seatbelt use, and defensive driving techniques Capability to handle the physical demands of the role, including climbing, lifting, and working in adverse weather conditions Proficient in cabling, mechanical tasks, and the use of hand and power tools Fibre splicing and testing is an asset Computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office products Proven ability to identify potential problems and implement solutions independently Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong focus on customer service and clear, professional communication Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally with a strong focus on customer service Must be open to completing and passing training in Fall Arrest, Emergency First Aid, and Ladder Training What We Offer: Internal growth and learning opportunities Challenging and rewarding place to work Comprehensive health and benefits Competitive starting rates Employee discount plan on Execulink services RRSP matching program Tuition reimbursement Interested in joining our Execulink Team?
