Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Work setting: Automotive manufacturing. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Willing to relocate. General manufacturing. Machine set-up. Automobile. Tasks: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables. Repair machine tools and parts. Set up and adjust production machineries/tools. Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance. Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments. Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports. Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools. Remove castings from moulds. Operate testing equipment to maintain quality of products. Follow formulation card to mix resin batches for injection moulding process. Design, develop and specify processes for moulding, forming and thermal treatment of metals, alloys, ceramics and other materials. Assist in setting up and dismantling equipment. Prepare and change moulds and adjust equipment for production line change. Perform minor adjustments to slot machines. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Machinist Trade Certification. Tool and Die Maker Trade Certification. Technical terminology: Medical. Metal mould-making experience: Injection moulds. Equipment and machinery experience: Moulding machine. Regulations knowledge: Knowledge of preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment.
