In this role, you’ll support Farm Boy’s vision of delivering the best fresh shopping experience by partnering with the Department Manager to drive strong operational results. With a customer-first mindset and hands-on leadership approach, you’ll help maintain high standards across product quality, food safety, and team development—ensuring the department runs smoothly and consistently exceeds expectations. Here are some of the other ways you’ll help us stand out: Deliver outstanding customer service while supporting Farm Boy’s vision of the best fresh shopping experience. Partner with the Department Manager to execute department strategies that achieve performance goals and business objectives. Support daily operations by ensuring proper product preparation, packaging, pricing, rotation, quality standards, cleanliness, and completion of opening and closing procedures. Assist with office administration by recording shrink activity and supporting inventory counts, supply ordering, and documentation. Ensure full compliance with Safe Food Handling, Health & Safety, and all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment through routine housekeeping tasks, including equipment maintenance, sanitizing, sweeping, and mopping. Assist in the training, support, and coverage of department team members as directed by the management team. Contribute to overall store success by undertaking additional responsibilities as required. Qualifications What you bring to the table. We provide the opportunity, and you bring the potential. Completion of a post-secondary program, plus a minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while effectively managing competing priorities and maintaining strong performance standards. Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills with a clear, professional communication style. Comfort learning and working with both manual and automated systems, along with experience using various computer software applications. Thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on setting that involves multiple deadlines, extended periods of standing, heavy lifting, repetitive movement or tasks, frequent use of protective equipment or clothing, and work that is frequently performed in colder environments. Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset. What we bring to the table.
