Our CORPORATE location has an exciting opportunity for a PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR to join our team! What You Will Do: The Payroll Administrator performs a variety of payroll-related functions, including preparing and distributing biweekly payroll, preparing T4s and ROE’s and year-end reports, as well as assisting with administering the FGI short-term disability program and reconciling monthly billing. Prepare and distribute biweekly payrolls for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery (hourly and salary, rotating weekly) Prepare and update payroll-related spreadsheets (tracking education assistance programs, boot allowances, vacation time, etc.) Collaborate with our accounting team to prepare journal entries and balance payroll accounts Maintain accurate payroll records, including salaries, deductions, benefits, and time tracking Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure compliance with Canadian/Provincial regulations Address employee payroll and benefits inquiries with professionalism and clarity Support audits and handle confidential employee information with care Review and assist with absences, timesheets, and schedules Assist with group insurance benefits and reconcile monthly billing Assist with the administration of FGI’s short-term disability program Perform the calculation of car taxable benefits Communicate to management any exceptions to standards or unusual transactions for approval Support annual inventory count processes Demonstrate effective communication and cooperative behaviour with supervisors, customers, and coworkers Follow supervisor instructions in accordance with company procedures Maintain reliable schedule adherence and punctuality Contribute ideas and suggestions to support continuous improvement initiatives Other duties as assigned What We Require: Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation required. A PCP candidate with extensive experience may be considered 3-5 years in a dedicated payroll position is preferred Ability to work with multiple teams and independently Knowledge of general accounting principles is an asset Familiarity with multi-provincial Employment Standards and payroll standards is an asset Proficient with Microsoft Office and other standard office equipment Excellent customer service skills Strong communication skills, including both written and verbal Team-oriented, adaptable, with a commitment to safety excellence What We Offer: Competitive Wages -PLUS Yearly bonus!
