We are looking for a technical lead to join our team and drive the development of our AI-driven applications. JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a Lead Engineer with a strong AI/ML engineering focus to join our growing AI team. You will design, build, and deploy production-grade AI-driven applications — from intelligent agents to RAG integrations into productivity SaaS to optimized headless services and Data Bases. Working closely with machine learning engineers, cloud engineers, product managers, and UX/UI designers, you will bring AI SaaS from prototype to production, ensuring our applications are robust, performant, and secure. This role requires strong programming skills in Python (FastAPI), hands-on experience with AI/LLM response API, MCP tool calling, and practical knowledge of working with large language models. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment where priorities may shift, and be willing to own problems end-to-end. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead a diverse, inclusive, high-performing engineering team * Build systems and tools that increase our deployment velocity and help develop our technical roadmap and prioritization * Contribute meaningful amounts of clean, efficient, tested, and scalable code * Ensure projects are on track, your team is utilized effectively, and core engineering needs are continuously addressed * Communicate well with other engineering or product teams, take responsibility in broadcasting information internally (documentation) or externally (all hands, demos) * Collaborating with data, ML, and DevOps engineers * Build and optimize RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines for intelligent document retrieval and conversational AI * Develop and integrate agentic workflows using LangGraph and LangChain for multi-step reasoning and tool use * Integrate and orchestrate large language models (Claude, OpenAI GPT) into production systems, including prompt engineering, model selection, and output evaluation * Develop scalable, well-documented RESTful APIs for seamless front-end and back-end communication * Collaborating with UX/UI designers in Figma * Ensuring the security and performance of the application’s server-side logic * Troubleshooting and debugging issues to optimize the application's functionality * Developing APIs for seamless front-end–back-end communication * Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies * Monitoring application performance and usage * Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies * Monitoring application performance and usage EXPERIENCE: * Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on JavaScript frameworks and web applications * Proven expertise in scalable web application with modern frameworks * Used to work in an Agile environment SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE * Strong programming skills in Python * Proficiency in one or more back-end frameworks: Fast API * Proficient in Vue.JS (preferred) or React * Experience with Git and its CI/CD tools * A continuous learning mindset to stay up-to-date with evolving web and cloud technologies * Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB) * Understanding of server-side architecture and RESTful APIs * Troubleshooting and debugging skills * Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS and Azure) * Familiarity with security best practices * Familiarity with Machine Learning model training and inference, especially LLMs * Familiarity with agentic workflows and automation * Familiarity with Machine Learning model training and inference, especially LLMs LEADERSHIP * Experienced in collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that reliability and scalability are considered in the design and development of new systems and tools * Willing to own important problems end-to-end, but also have good delegation skills and are willing to pick up whatever knowledge you're missing to get the job done. * Excited to do hands-on technical work but equally excited to lead technical teams to peak performance * Can create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture that makes all feel welcome while enabling radical candor and the challenging of group think * Have a humble attitude, an eagerness to help your colleagues, and a desire to do whatever it takes to make the team succeed EDUCATION * Bachelor's degree or more in Computer science or related field. Languages * Excellent conversational and written knowledge in English (C1 level minimum). * French and Spanish language skills are a bonus.
