Our FYidoctors Banff and Canmore clinics are looking for someone like you to bring your exceptional skills and experience and join us as an Optical Associate to fill an existing vacancy! In this role, you’ll enhance the lives of our patients every single day, delivering exceptional vision and eyewear experiences in a dynamic, rewarding, and collaborative environment. This position is a full-time role working 30-40 hours per week. Our clinic is open Tuesday to Saturday. What You’ll Do Greet and welcome patients to the clinic, engage with patients in person, by phone, and via email Educate patients on eyewear options tailored to their lifestyle, assisting with frame selection to ensure optimal value, quality, aesthetics, and performance Interpret optical prescriptions provided by the optometrist Perform frame and facial measurements, ensuring proper fit and positioning of new eyewear, as well as repairs and adjustments Coordinate appointments, and prepare prescription printouts Manage billing and payments for patients, insurers and other third parties Assist with contact lens fittings and process contact lens orders Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive patient experience Support clinic operations by performing additional duties as required What You Bring Previous optical experience or retail experience is considered an asset Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for connecting with patients and delivering exceptional patient experiences A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive team player with a growth mindset, able to manage changing priorities effectively How You'll Benefit Competitive wages with the opportunity to earn quarterly bonuses (available at qualifying clinics) A comprehensive benefits package featuring exceptional optical coverage Rapid and ongoing growth, providing a consistently challenging and rewarding environment A workplace culture that fosters collaboration and teamwork Continuous training and development opportunities to support your career growth Why You Should Join Us FYidoctors, a division of FYihealth group, is Canada’s largest and most technologically advanced eyecare provider.
