Overview Garmin Canada is seeking a Compensation and HRIS Analyst. This role is responsible for the administration, maintenance and optimization of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), compensation programs and payroll support functions. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and security of HR data while supporting compensation analysis, reporting, payroll continuity, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will serve as a key resource for HR systems, compensation administration, workforce analytics, and payroll operations, contributing to data-driven decision making and process excellence across the organization. Administer and maintain HRIS platforms, ensuring data accuracy, integrity and security Configure and support HRIS modules including associate information, organizational structure, compensation and reporting Develop, maintain and automate HR reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics Conduct regular audits of employee data to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance Manage system upgrades, testing, implementations, integrations, and process improvements Create and maintain HRIS documentation, procedures, and training materials Serve as the primary point of contact for HRIS related inquiries and troubleshooting Support the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, including salary structures and pay policies Conduct market pricing and benchmarking using compensation surveys and industry data Analyze internal and external compensation data to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices Prepare compensation reports, recommendations, and presentations for leadership Maintain compensation records and system configurations related to pay structures and salary administration Serve as backup payroll administrator, providing full payroll processing support during absences, peak periods, or business continuity events Ensure compliance with applicable federal, provincial and local payroll regulations as well as company policies Support year-end payroll activities, reporting requirements and audits Assist with payroll system enhancements, testing and process improvements Perform other job-related duties as assigned Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field Minimum of (five) 5 years of experience in HRIS administration, compensation analysis, payroll administration or a related HR operations role Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (UKG PRO/WFM, Workday, Ceridian Dayforce, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, Oracle HCM, or similar) Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis and reporting Experience mentoring or training less experienced team members Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills Proven ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple projects simultaneously Advanced ability to leverage data, research, benchmarks, payroll information, and business metrics to support decision-making High level of discretion and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of business and employee information Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through Positive, collaborative, and customer-focused approach to work Desirable Qualifications Experience with UKG Pro/WFM, including Time and Attendance and Reporting Experience supporting HRIS implementations or system migrations Knowledge of Power BI, SQL, or other reporting and analytical tools Certified Compensation Professional (CPC), Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP), or related certifications considered an asset Company Information At Garmin Canada, we create more than just products – we inspire solutions and innovations that change and shape how we live, work and play.
