Description Configuration Management Change Analyst Associate Specialist/Engineer P53 Job Description The Configuration Management Change Analyst progresses engineering changes through to closure, and business implementation. Ensuring the changes are structured, assessed, and compliant with company standards and requirements. They ensure the needs of stakeholders from Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Customer Support Services, Logistics, and Customer representation are met. The role primary interfaces with Program, Engineering, Design Services, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Customer Support Services, Logistics and GDLS-Sterling Heights Configuration Management and other stakeholders. Key Job Elements Evaluate change requests based on established requirements and available funding. Ensure the affected change items correspond with the change request according to the Engineering Change Process. Verify the completeness of the change request and clarify the content as needed. Identify and coordinate any additional change requirements needed to ensure full implementation. Evaluate requests for variances by checking the accuracy and content of the requests, as well as confirming available funding. Assess whether the deviation or variance necessitates a change request and proceed with implementation as needed. Initiate change orders (COs) and add definition as needed for clarity. Assign the appropriate implementation lead to the CO. Advance the COs through the company’s review and collaboration stages. Ensure that each CO has been fully implemented according to company standards and requirements. Executes ORACLE updates to support sustainment and tooling procurement. Required Qualifications College Diploma in a technical / manufacturing discipline (3 year) or a non-technical discipline with relevant experience in a Configuration Management or related discipline Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a technical and/or manufacturing environment Proficiency in analyzing technical information (engineering drawings, specifications, changes) Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management and Enterprise systems Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem solving skills Ability to manage workload in a fast paced environment to schedule with high degree of quality Ability to chair cross-functional meetings with team members to obtain change impacts and approvals, and participate in other support forums. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Siemens Teamcenter, Oracle, and/or other Product Lifecycle Management and Enterprise systems Certified or eligible Engineering Technician / Technologist (OACETT), or eligible Professional Engineer Industry recognized certification in Configuration Management or familiarity with Configuration Management standards Working Conditions: Physical Conditions and Hazards: The conditions in which an individual or staff works, including but not limited to such things as amenities, physical environment, stress and noise levels, degree of safety or danger, temperature, location. Physical Environment: Office Hazards: NA Physical Demands Description: This section objectively captures and describes the physical demands that are required to perform a particular job or role. Usually completed by the ergonomist Usual mobility demands required are standing, walking, sitting, and stair climbing to access upper offices. Equipment Utilized: This section describes the type of equipment an employee is required to use: Computer Phone Mobile device Medical Surveillance May include: Anthropometrical Size Restrictions depending on task Personal Protective Equipment: Applicable when interacting with shop floor (safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection. extraction coveralls)
