Reporting to the National Director of Maintenance and the Hotel General Manager, the Manager of Maintenance is responsible for overseeing both the interior and exterior maintenance of the property, as well as all related administrative management duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and performing building maintenance tasks, including mechanical systems, electrical work, plumbing, painting, and various minor repairs, while also monitoring and managing the department's budget. The Director of Maintenance will oversee vendors and subcontractors and coordinate maintenance activities with other hotel departments to ensure efficient operations and an exceptional guest experience. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Perform visual inspections of the equipment * Actively participate in preventive building maintenance procedures * Perform daily maintenance work and reflect their activities in their schedule * Perform interior and exterior work * Report any defective systems and make the necessary corrections * Possibility of transporting materials from outside the property * Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing of objects by moving up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders * Responsible for maintaining all mechanical components of the building * Perform minor electrical work (ex: changing light bulbs) * Ensure that service manuals are followed during preventive maintenance, repair, or replacement of systems or components and adhere to sound engineering practices, building codes and health & safety precautions WHAT YOU WILL BRING * 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Manager or equivalent experience. * High school Diploma or College diploma in mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering, or an equivalent is an asset * In good physical condition, capable of handling heavy materials and performing labour intensive duties such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 100 pounds without assistance.
