Floor-Attendant

Key Responsibilities: Site & Grounds Maintenance: Perform daily facility upkeep including litter pickup, power washing, and groundskeeping using equipment such as lawnmowers and leaf blowers to maintain a clean, tidy environment. Material Handling & Product Care: Safely sort, process, and manage specialized materials, including Product Care items (paints, solvents) and Interchange fluids (used oil, coolants). Equipment Operation: Safely operate heavy equipment—including forklifts and backhoes—to move materials around the yard and manage floor inventory (paid company training provided). Customer Service & Traffic Control: Greet and direct site visitors, assisting the public with the safe and proper drop-off, disposal, and recycling of household items. Scale Operations & Cross-Training: Complete cross-training on scale house operations to accurately weigh incoming/outgoing loads and support administrative operations as needed. Knowledge, Skills & Competencies: Must have a valid driver’s license and access to personal, reliable transportation (site is not accessible by public transit) Landfill experience is an asset Backhoe & forklift experience is an asset Knowledge of the handling, storage and disposal of Hazardous Substance and Dangerous Waste is an asset.
