Trade Analyst Location: Toronto, ON Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid — 4 days on-site Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension, based on business needs and performance) Conversion Possible: Yes, based on business needs and performance Pay Rate: C$28.00–C$34.00 / Hour (CAD) Shift / Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Travel Requirements: Not required Job Summary This is a backfill role supporting day-to-day BAU operations within a team of approximately 20 people. The engagement includes a 2-week training period and offers a collaborative, close-knit team environment with growth and development opportunities. The contractor will have access to customer data and will operate within a high-risk compliance environment requiring strong attention to detail and accuracy. Some communication with internal stakeholders will be conducted over the phone, and performance will be measured by deliverables and daily metrics. A background in banking, financial services, or mutual funds is preferred for this position. Key Responsibilities Process mutual fund trades and settlements. Investigate and resolve transaction breaks and discrepancies. Handle FundSERV transactions and money movements. Use Excel macros to support operational processes. Provide customer service and respond to inquiries. Maintain compliance with operational and regulatory procedures. Participate in a 15-minute daily huddle meeting. Required Skills Advanced Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets, formulas, pivots, macros) Banking/Financial experience Tech savvy — ability to pick up internal systems quickly Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, and Excel) Strong communication skills Quick learner Preferred Skills Trade settlements experience Education Requirements University degree in Finance or related field required Required Experience 5 years of overall experience (flexibility considered — details to be discussed during the supplier call) Background in banking, financial services, or mutual funds strongly preferred High attention to detail and accuracy in a high-risk compliance environment Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans 401k Retirement Fund About the Client This client is a major financial services and banking institution operating across Canada and internationally, with a workforce that includes thousands of professionals in areas such as finance, operations, compliance, and technology.
