The Good Spirit School Division invites applications for Temporary Part Time Educational Assistant Esterhazy High School EAs support student learning in the classroom environment and other educational settings. These dynamic individuals support teachers and school teams in meeting the diverse learning needs of students. EAs are valuable members of a team which collaborates to promote student learning, well-being and success. Assignment/Contract 3.0 hours/day- Temporary Part-Time Salary In Accordance with the CUPE 4784 Collective Agreement Contact Susan Drader, Principal 306-745-6618 OR Tracey Kiliwnik, Student Services Consultant 306-786-5500 Assignment And Term This position is a temporary part-time position of 3.0 hours.day in accordance with the Educational Assistant school calendar. The position commences August 27, 2026 and expires February 9, 2027 with the work schedule to be determined later on.This is determined by the principal and student services. Rest periods will be scheduled in accordance with the current collective bargaining agreement. The Duties Of An Educational Assistant Are To Work closely with students to meet their diverse learning goals. Provide assistance to students with mobility needs and/or who require personal care. Assist the classroom teacher to support learning with all students in the classroom. Maintain strict confidentiality of all information pertaining to a child, classroom and the school. Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or designate and those listed in Job Description - Educational Assistant The Successful Candidate Will Have The Desired Qualifications Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent. Acute attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility and the ability to work as a team member will be considered assets. Knowledge of and experience with indigenous ways of knowing, living, and being are a strong asset. Salary And Benefits The successful candidate will be paid on a monthly basis at an hourly rate from $21.00 - $25.79 plus applicable vacation pay. Benefits include participation in the Municipal Employees' Pension Plan (MEPP) and opportunities to attend professional development seminars. Applicants not currently working for GSSD will be required to submit a recent (within the last six months) criminal record and vulnerable sector check acceptable to the Board of Education prior to offer of employment.
