Job Summary Provide technical advice and support to farm operators to improve productivity, crop health, and sustainability. Conduct field assessments, develop management plans, and communicate recommendations to clients and stakeholders. Number of Positions 3 Main Duties Assess crops, soils and farm operations through on-site visits and field inspections to identify issues and opportunities. Develop and recommend crop management plans, planting schedules, fertilization and irrigation programs tailored to client needs. Advise on pest, disease and weed control strategies, including integrated pest management and appropriate product recommendations. Design and supervise field trials, demonstration plots and on-farm research to evaluate practices and products. Prepare technical reports, grower recommendations and documentation to support decision-making and regulatory compliance. Deliver training, workshops and presentations for producers, industry partners and community stakeholders. Requirements Post-secondary diploma or degree in agriculture, agronomy, horticulture, or a related discipline. Practical experience working in crop production, extension services, agronomy consulting, or a related agricultural role. Working knowledge of crop protection, soil management, nutrient programs, and integrated pest management principles. Ability to conduct field assessments, collect samples, and interpret agronomic data. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences. Flexibility to travel to client sites, work outdoors in variable conditions, and manage a variable schedule.
