Position Overview Under the direction of the Food and Beverage Manager, Shift Supervisor, the Server position is applicable to the Bingo Hall, Buffet, Blaze Restaurant, Gaming Floor and the Hot Dog Cart. The Server is responsible for adhering to all policies and procedures within the Casino. They are responsible for making each guests dining experience an enjoyable and positive experience. Required to take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety and health of guests and that safe work practices are adhered to at all times. The Server is responsible for presenting menus and up selling food and beverage items to their guests during their shift. Responsibilities Include  Provide excellent guest service consistent with Company's core service standards and brand attributes.  Review all daily specials, promotions.  Remember menu items, menu prices and hours of operation.  Take food and beverage orders from guests and accurately enter items into the POS system.  Accurately and efficiently serve food and beverage items to guests.  Ensure tables are set, cleared promptly and ready for the next guest.  Ensure the cleanliness of working area is maintained at all times.  Ensure all items required at service stations are in place prior to the start of, and end of each shift.  Balance sales receipts at the end of each shift.  Assist the Food and Beverage Front of the House Manager and Supervisors with maintaining all front of house inventory control levels to meet business volumes.  Ensure all AGLC, casino and other provincial or federally mandated laws, policies and procedures are understood and adhered to at all times.  Develop and maintain positive relationships with all guests, food and beverage staff and other casino departmental staff.  Must report to work on time and in a clean uniform.  Must maintain proper hygiene and grooming at all times.  Communicate to the FOH Manager or Supervisor any issues that may require assistance to remedy.  Attend meetings and training programs when required. Education And Experience  Requires a high school diploma  A valid Alberta Pro Serve Certificate. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities  Experience working with POS systems is required.  1 – 2 years experience in a server capacity working in a fast paced environment.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required in order to promote and deliver impeccable service and standards at all times.  Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills; strong verbal and written communication skills are required as well as attention to detail.  Ability to work and thrive in a team oriented environment, and be able to function independently also.  Ability to work in a physically demanding area and be familiar with a high-volume, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.  Must be available for shift-work.  Must be able to stand or work on feet for long periods of time.  Must be aware of and able to work in a smoking environment.  May require lifting weight of up to approximately 50 lbs. Candidates must have a high school diploma, a valid Alberta Pro Serve Certificate, and 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced server role. Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs is required.
