Position Overview Under the direction of the Restaurant Manager, the Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for all restaurant departmental operations during a prescribed shift. The work is typified as a hands-on supervisory position and includes establishing priorities, ensuring work quality and coordinating the activities of employees on shift that day. The Restaurant Supervisor is required to take all necessary precautions to protect the safety and health of workers and ensure that safe work practices are developed and adhered to. Education And Experience 2-3 years experience in a lead role or supervisory capacity with practical hands on knowledge and experience in all facets of Food & Beverage operations. Specific Hotel food and beverage operational experience would be an asset. Proven experience in leading and motivating a team of service employees is also required. Emphasis on Point of Sale programming, inventory control and beverage cost practices and procedures are required. Training in Outlook Express, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) is an asset. Must posses a valid Alberta ProServe and ProTect Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required in order to promote, maintain and deliver impeccable service standards at all times. Must have customer service experience and well-developed leadership skills. Able to work in high stress environments (work load, conflict situations, etc). Ability to maintain their composure even when dealing with angry or demanding patrons Accustomed to work in a team and independently. Accurate and clear, concise reporting. Must be able to stand for long periods at a time. Must be able to work in a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays. Exigences
Candidates need 2-3 years of supervisory experience in Food & Beverage operations and must possess valid Alberta ProServe and ProTect certifications. Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office is preferred along with the ability to work flexible shifts.
