This is more than a design job — it’s your chance to grow, create, and build a long-term career with Gen C Communications. Gen C is a fast-growing boutique brand agency originally founded in Vancouver, now expanding to Calgary. We work across a range of exciting industries — from construction and sport to consumer products and nonprofits — delivering bold creative and smart strategy that makes brands stand out. We’re on the hunt for a driven, detail-oriented Intermediate Graphic Designer to join our Calgary studio. If you’re early in your career and ready to level up your skills across digital, print, social, and web — this is the opportunity for you. Why this role matters At Gen C, we’re not just creating assets — we’re building stories. This role is ideal for someone who’s looking to be part of a growing company, take real ownership, and make a tangible impact every day. There’s huge potential here to grow in skillset, responsibility, and creative leadership as we build out our Calgary presence. What You’ll Be Doing Designing digital and print assets for multiple brands and clients Creating everything from social content and web banners to landing pages and brochures Supporting concept development with mockups and production-ready designs Maintaining brand consistency and organizing files across deliverables Participating in internal and client meetings to present and refine work Preparing final files for print and managing vendor communications Managing your workload in our internal PM system What We’re Looking For Experience & Skills 1–3 years of experience in a graphic design role (agency is a plus but not a must) Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) — bonus points for After Effects or Figma Strong eye for layout, typography, branding, and visual hierarchy Comfort with — or willingness to learn — AI tools to support workflow Impeccable attention to detail and ability to deliver polished, production-ready work Clear, professional communicator in both spoken and written English Mindset & Values You understand that design is about solving problems — not just making things look pretty. You’re focused on creating work that’s effective, emotional, and aligned with client goals. You’re independent, adaptable, and proactive. You don’t wait to be told what to do — you ask questions, look ahead, and keep things moving. You want to grow with the company, not just pass through it You enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Bonus Points For: Motion design or video editing skills Photography/videography experience Web design or development capabilities What You’ll Get Full-time salaried position: $50,000–$60,000 depending on experience Paid vacation and flexibility Occasional hybrid work A growing team where your voice matters and your work makes a difference Real opportunities to advance your career and expand your skillset How to Apply Email your portfolio, resume, and a short note about why this role excites you to [email protected] About Gen C Communications Gen C is a boutique creative agency that helps brands find clarity and communicate with purpose.
