Your New Role As a Bilingual Legal Administrative Assistant, you will join a collaborative support team providing assistance to lawyers and professionals across multiple practice groups. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and is looking to gain broad exposure to different areas of law while developing a strong foundation in legal administration. Working closely with lawyers and internal stakeholders, you will be responsible for managing requests, coordinating administrative processes, supporting document production, and ensuring a high level of client service. The position requires strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include: Supporting lawyers and legal professionals across various practice groups Managing incoming requests and prioritizing workflows to ensure timely completion Preparing, formatting, editing, proofreading, printing, scanning, and organizing legal and administrative documents Assisting with document production and file management Processing expense reports, invoices, and administrative requests Liaising with internal departments and support teams to coordinate services and resources Maintaining accurate workflow records and administrative systems Providing exceptional service to both internal and external clients Contributing to a collaborative team environment while adapting to changing priorities and deadlines What You'll Need to Succeed To be successful in this position, you will possess: A Legal Assistant, Legal Administration, or Law Clerk diploma, or equivalent legal education Approximately 1-3 years of experience in a law firm, legal department, internship, or legal support environment Strong bilingual communication skills, with fluency in French and a working knowledge of English Outstanding interpersonal skills and confidence interacting with lawyers, professionals, and clients Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities Strong proofreading skills and keen attention to detail A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document preparation A commitment to delivering exceptional client service and maintaining professional standards What You'll Get in Return In exchange for your hard work and dedication, you will receive: Competitive compensation ranging from $58,000 to $72,000 Comprehensive benefits coverage fully paid by the firm from day one RRSP contribution starting at 2% Two to three weeks of vacation Ongoing mentorship and professional development opportunities Exposure to a wide range of legal practice areas and experienced legal professionals A hybrid work environment with four days in-office per week (potentially three days for more experienced candidates) English language training and development support Long-term career progression opportunities within a highly respected national law firm
