About the Opportunity A well-established organization operating across multiple business units is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join its finance team. This position offers exposure to a broad range of accounting functions within a dynamic environment and provides the opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization. Key Responsibilities Participate in monthly and year-end close activities. Support the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and various financial analyses. Review accounting procedures and identify opportunities to enhance processes and controls. Reconcile intercompany balances and ensure transactions are accurately recorded. Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining supporting documentation. Monitor and maintain the integrity of the general ledger. Assist with audit requests and provide required financial documentation. Perform account reconciliations, including cash and balance sheet accounts. Analyze financial transactions and investigate discrepancies as required. Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and reporting requirements. Review operating expenses and provide insights on variances and trends. Partner with operational and administrative teams to improve financial data accuracy. Assist with selected accounts payable and accounts receivable activities when required. Contribute to special projects, system improvements, and process optimization initiatives. Maintain accurate financial records and support ongoing internal control processes. Qualifications Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation completed or in progress is considered an asset. Approximately 2+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a corporate or multi-entity environment. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Experience working with ERP systems; exposure to large-scale ERP platforms is an asset. Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
