Working both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, the RN conducts assessments, develops and implements care plans, provides health education, and supports clients across diverse social, economic, cultural, and age groups. The RN practices in accordance with the standards of the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS), the Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics, and the mission, philosophy, and objectives of the Saskatchewan Health Authority. Human Resources Exemption: No Education * Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Licenses * Valid Class 5 driver's license Competencies * Organizational skills * Decision making skills * Time management skills Knowledge and Abilities * Knowledge in Infection Prevention and Control standards * Makes independent clinical judgment based on evidence based best practice * Knowledge of CRNS standards for nursing practice * Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing * Demonstrated clinical competency * Conflict resolution skills to effectively handle difficult issues * Ability to coach, mentor and develop others * Ability to conduct assessments/prioritize client needs/develop treatment plans * Effective interpersonal relationship skills * Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team * Ability to initiate and exercise critical thinking and decision-making * Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office programs (Word/Excel/Outlook) * Sensitive and understanding of diverse cultural aspects of population served * Knowledge in population and public health concepts * Working knowledge in health promotion * Knowledge in LEAN management system * Ability to balance the needs and interests of diverse group Other Information * High level of accuracy required in health assessment/nursing diagnosis/treatment * Practices with Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics * Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) * Nursing experience in Chronic Disease Management is desired. * High level of accuracy is required in handling specialized equipment * Supports the mission/philosophy/objectives of the Saskatchewan Health Authority The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is the largest employer in Saskatchewan, employing more than 45,000 staff in a dynamic healthcare environment.
