The clinic emphasizes client education and clear communication to support informed decisions about pet health. Role Description: This is a part-time or full-time, on-site Veterinarian. The Veterinarian will perform physical examinations, diagnose illnesses, develop treatment plans, and provide medical, surgical, and preventive care for companion animals. Daily responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, performing routine and elective surgeries, and documenting medical records accurately. The role involves communicating clearly with clients about diagnoses, treatment options, follow-up care, and home-care instructions. You will be supported by an experienced and skilled veterinary team, with mentorship available to help you develop confidence and pursue clinical excellence. As a privately owned practice, we value professional autonomy, individualized patient care, and the ability to provide medicine that reflects the needs of both our patients and clients. Qualifications: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited institution and eligibility for licensure in Alberta. Strong clinical skills in small animal medicine, including diagnostics, treatment planning, and preventive care. Proficiency in routine surgical procedures, anesthesia, and pain management, with a commitment to patient safety. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, colleagues, and support staff. Ability to maintain accurate medical records, follow clinic protocols, and comply with relevant regulations and standards. Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical environment, prioritizing cases, and making sound medical decisions. Experience in a general practice or small animal clinic setting is an asset; new graduates with strong clinical aptitude are welcome to apply.
