Journeyperson Mechanic

What You'll Be Doing Lubricate and perform breakdown maintenance and scheduled repairs of mixer trucks and other equipment as required to achieve optimum performance. Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose problems. Ensure that all equipment repairs are performed accurately to the manufacturer standards. Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with specifications. Perform other miscellaneous mechanical and maintenance duties as assigned. What Are We Looking For Holds a valid provincial or Red Seal Journeyman certification; CVIP license is considered an asset Demonstrates technical proficiency with transmissions, electrical systems, hydraulics, and other components on mixer trucks Understands DOT inspection requirements and adheres to formal maintenance programs Comfortable performing physically demanding tasks including lifting, kneeling, working at heights and in confined spaces Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital tools for documentation and diagnostics Conditions of Employment Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination and background check. The Journeyperson Mechanic is responsible for lubricating, maintaining, and repairing mixer trucks and heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance. They must diagnose mechanical issues, perform repairs to manufacturer standards, and conduct post-repair testing for compliance.
