Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Purchasing Specialist for a short-term assignment to support complex procurement activities, purchasing processes, and supplier and contract management. Key Responsibilities Plan and coordinate procurement activities for a range of complex goods and services. Review business requirements and determine appropriate procurement strategies and processes. Prepare specifications and manage tenders, quotations, and proposal processes, including evaluation and award. Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders regarding scope, pricing, terms, and conditions. Prepare and execute contracts, purchase orders, change orders, and related procurement documentation. Support contract administration, supplier performance, compliance, and procurement-related issue resolution. Monitor procurement trends, regulatory requirements, and market developments. Qualifications University degree with relevant procurement experience. Working toward or in the process of obtaining a recognized professional purchasing designation. Strong knowledge of procurement practices, principles, policies, and procedures. Experience with tenders, proposals, quotations, contract administration, and supplier negotiations. Knowledge of contract law, risk management, and public-sector procurement requirements. Strong judgment, organization, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
