Requirements  Diploma or degree in Human Resources management required or equivalent experience.  Strong knowledge of current employment law matters, with a strong commitment to diversity management.  Demonstrated ability to manage HR core processes such as talent management, succession planning, and employee relations.  Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.  Strong presentation, written, and verbal skills.  Strong morals and ethics, along with a commitment to staff privacy.  Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively with different managers, candidate personalities, etc.  Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.  Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.  Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and e-mail required.  Attention to detail in all areas of work.  Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines. Core Competencies  Time Management  Creative and Innovative Thinking  Development and Continual Learning  Problem Solving  Accountability and Dependability  Research and Analysis  Decision making and Judgement  Ethics and Integrity  Planning and Organizing  Enforcing Laws, Rules and Regulations  Communication  Energy & Stress  Team Work Job Duties  Administer the recruitment process. o Ensure the compatibility of applicants to job positions. o Perform interviews, screens, and recruit for all job openings. o Check prospective employee references.  Ensure that all employees comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.  Communicate to internal stakeholders in Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and regulations.  Administer exit interviews.  Provide resolutions to employee relation issues (e.g. employee complaints and harassment allegations)  Administer new hire orientation and training within the organization.  Administer and record employee recognition and incentive programs.  Build and sustain beneficial relationships with employment agencies and educational institutions.  Maintain personnel files.  Develop and provide recommendations for policies and processes.  Provide research as requested.  Plan and organize staff events and Social Club activities.  Keep job descriptions current.  Provide general information and assistance internally and externally over the phone, electronically and in person.  Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.  Recommend new policies and procedures to effect company improvements and organizational efficiencies.  Assist with processing of terminations.  Assist on and prepare correspondence.  Assist with the performance review process.  Perform other duties as assigned. Training Requirements  Job Specific Training as per job description.  Standard Training o Employee Orientation Checklist.  Other training as needed Environmental Requirements Employees will comply and adhere to the the environmental Policy, procedures, practices and all legal requirements:  Reduce the use of natural resources, wherever possible, by conservation, technological advances, best practices or other known methods of reduction. Health and Safety Requirements Managers will comply and adhere to our Health & Safety Policy, procedures, practices and all legal requirements.  Develop and maintain a comprehensive Health and Safety program.  Conduct regular Health and Safety audits and implement appropriate and timely action steps.  Provide ongoing education and training in safe work practices and procedures for Supervisor’s, OH&S committee members, and all employees.  Communicate known or reasonably foreseeable Health and Safety hazards to which employees are likely to be exposed by their work.  Ensure there are emergency response plans in place that detail timely and appropriate actions to be taken in response to emergency situations.  Develop and maintain effective disability management programs that provide all employees affected by disabling occupational injuries or illnesses with an early return-towork program.
