Senior Software Engineer – Solutions Lead Halifax (Remote) About the Role We are working with an innovative technology company that are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who serves as both a technical authority and a hands-on developer. In this role, you’ll be the critical connection between client strategy and technical execution, partnering closely with clients and delivery teams to turn business objectives into high-quality, scalable, and sustainable technology solutions. You’ll bring deep experience architecting and building production-grade applications, working across modern cloud environments, and solving complex technical challenges. Just as importantly, you’ll bring a strong curiosity about generative AI and how AI can transform the software development lifecycle. This is a role for someone who enjoys moving seamlessly between deep-focus engineering, technical architecture, problem-solving, and high-level client collaboration. Responsibilities Partner with clients to understand business objectives, technical requirements, and opportunities for innovation. Translate client strategy and business needs into pragmatic technical solutions and architectures. Architect, develop, deploy, and maintain production-grade full stack applications. Serve as a technical leader and trusted advisor to both clients and internal delivery teams. Bridge the gap between strategy and implementation, ensuring solutions are technically sound, scalable, secure, and maintainable. Lead technical discovery, architecture discussions, and solution design. Work hands-on across the full software development lifecycle, from concept and prototyping through production deployment. Leverage cloud-native technologies and modern engineering practices to deliver enterprise-scale solutions. Explore and apply AI and generative AI technologies to improve products, workflows, and the software development lifecycle. Use AI coding agents and AI-driven development practices to accelerate delivery while maintaining engineering quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor other developers, and contribute to engineering standards and best practices. Qualifications 10+ years of software engineering experience building and deploying production applications in AWS, Azure, or GCP. Proven experience architecting and delivering enterprise-scale, full stack solutions. Hands-on experience with AI models and AI-powered applications, beyond AI coding tools. Proficiency with Python, TypeScript, BigQuery, and Vertex AI. Strong experience with AI-driven development and AI coding agents. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and modern cloud architectures. Strong understanding of scalable, secure, reliable software engineering practices. Strong communication and client-facing consulting skills. Ability to translate business needs into practical technical solutions. Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on development. Strong problem-solving skills and technical judgment. Ability to lead and influence teams without formal authority. Passion for generative AI and emerging technologies and their impact on software development.
