Strategic Priorities Building a best-in-class global controllership organization aligned to Husky's long-term growth strategy. Accelerating the monthly and quarterly close process while improving the quality, accessibility, and reliability of financial information. Modernizing the global finance operating model through standardization, simplification, automation, and continuous improvement. Strengthening financial governance, controls, and compliance while reducing complexity and improving efficiency. Leveraging technology, ERP capabilities, analytics, and automation to improve productivity and decision support across Finance. Key Responsibilities Lead all global accounting, financial reporting, consolidation, controllership, and financial governance activities. Ensure the integrity, consistency, and accuracy of financial reporting across all legal entities and business units. Deliver timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting to executive leadership, the Board of Directors, lenders, and other stakeholders. Maintain a strong global control environment while ensuring compliance with IFRS, regulatory requirements, tax authorities, and corporate governance standards. Develop and execute a multi-year roadmap to transform Husky's global controllership function. Drive process simplification, standardization, automation, and continuous improvement across accounting operations. Lead initiatives that reduce close timelines, eliminate manual activities, improve data quality, and increase operational efficiency. Partner with Information Technology and Finance Systems teams to maximize ERP capabilities and implement leading finance technologies. Evaluate opportunities for shared services, intelligent automation, robotic process automation (RPA), AI-enabled finance processes, and outsourcing where appropriate. Business Partnership Partner closely with the CFO and executive leadership team to provide financial insight supporting strategic decision making. Collaborate with FP&A, Operations, Commercial, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Tax, Treasury, and Human Resources to improve enterprise performance. Translate financial information into actionable business insights that improve profitability, working capital, cash flow, and operational performance. Support strategic initiatives including acquisitions, integrations, restructuring, capital investments, and global expansion. Leadership Build and lead a high-performing global finance organization characterized by accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus. Recruit, develop, coach, and retain exceptional finance talent. Foster a culture that embraces innovation, curiosity, learning, and operational excellence. Develop future finance leaders through succession planning and leadership development. Measures of Success Within the first three years, the successful candidate will have: Established a globally consistent controllership model supporting all business units. Significantly reduced monthly and quarterly close timelines while improving reporting quality. Implemented meaningful automation that improves productivity and reduces manual effort. Enhanced internal controls and governance while simplifying finance processes. Improved financial visibility through modern reporting, dashboards, and analytics. Developed Finance into a trusted strategic partner for business leaders globally. Built a high-performing leadership team with strong succession capability. Earned the confidence of the CEO, CFO, Executive Leadership Team, Board of Directors, and Audit Committee as a strategic advisor. Preferred Experience Experience within manufacturing, industrial equipment, automation, or engineered products organizations. Experience with modern ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or equivalent), consolidation systems, business intelligence tools, and finance automation technologies.
