About InTouchLink We are a fast-growing software company building technology that helps senior living communities connect, communicate, and operate more effectively. Our platform combines mobile apps, digital signage, analytics, communications, resident engagement, dining, transportation, and community services into one connected ecosystem used by senior living organizations across North America. We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our product development team and help us build, improve, and scale the next generation of the InTouchLink platform. This is a hands-on product engineering role for a developer who enjoys working across the stack, solving real customer problems, and taking features from concept through development, testing, deployment, and iteration. What You’ll Do You’ll work closely with our development, product, and design teams to build and improve production software used every day by senior living communities. Your responsibilities will include: Design, build, test, and maintain features across our web and mobile applications. Build and enhance AI-powered product features, including integrations with large language models and other AI APIs. Experiment with prompt design, structured outputs, automation workflows, and methods for evaluating AI-generated responses. Develop analytics, reporting, and dashboard functionality that turns product and customer data into useful insights. Develop mobile experiences for iOS and Android using Flutter and Dart. Build and integrate RESTful APIs, backend services, databases, and third-party integrations. Develop responsive, intuitive web interfaces and application workflows. Contribute to the architecture and technical design of new features and services. Work with relational databases, including designing queries, troubleshooting data issues, and supporting application performance. Debug complex issues across the application stack and help identify root causes of production problems. Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and participate in peer code reviews. Test your work through functional, regression, exploratory, and automated testing where appropriate. Participate in technical discussions and product discovery. Collaborate closely with product and UX to translate customer needs into practical technical solutions. Help improve development processes, code quality, performance, reliability, and scalability across the platform. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for a well-rounded software developer who is comfortable learning new technologies and taking ownership of meaningful product work. You should have: Approximately 2-5 years of professional software development experience. 2+ years of experience working with AI 3+ years of PHP experience Experience building and maintaining production web and/or mobile applications. Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, databases, and third-party integrations. Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL. Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving skills. Experience using Git in a collaborative development environment. An understanding of software testing, code quality, and maintainable application design. The ability to take a technical problem from initial investigation through implementation and release. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with developers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders. Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to work across different areas of a product when needed. Technologies You May Work With Our products span multiple technologies, including: Flutter / Dart React TypeScript / JavaScript PHP / Drupal Laravel REST APIs SQL and relational databases Cloud services such as AWS or Azure Docker CI/CD pipelines AI and LLM APIs Analytics and reporting technologies You are not expected to be an expert in every technology listed above. We’re more interested in strong software engineering fundamentals, relevant hands-on experience, and the ability to learn and work effectively across a modern product stack. Nice to Have Experience in one or more of the following would be an asset: Flutter or other cross-platform mobile development frameworks Native or cross-platform iOS/Android application development React and TypeScript Cloud infrastructure and deployment CI/CD and automated testing AI/LLM APIs such as OpenAI or similar platforms Drupal knowledge Prompt engineering or AI feature evaluation Analytics dashboards and reporting systems SaaS product development Integrating external software platforms and APIs How We Work You’ll contribute to live products, solve real customer problems, and have the opportunity to own features from planning and technical design through development, testing, release, and ongoing improvement.
