Position OverviewISNA Canada is seeking a capable and detail-oriented Teaching Assistant to support the development of high-quality educational content for imams and Religious Educators. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in Islamic studies and a passion for research, curriculum support, and scholarly content production.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in creating and refining lecture slides, teaching notes, and educational materials, including assessments and gradingConduct Islamic studies research to support courses, trainings, and publicationsHelp organize, edit, and structure content for clarity, accuracy, and pedagogyCollaborate closely with the CRO( Chief Religious Officer) and senior religious leadership on curriculum initiativesRequired QualificationsDemonstrated experience in Islamic studies research and/or content development that is Islamically-focusedStrong writing, organizational, and research skillsFamiliarity with classical and contemporary Islamic sources Ability to work independently while meeting deadlinesPreferred QualificationsFormal Islamic studies degree (or current advanced studies) ? a strong asset but not requiredPrior experience supporting educators, imams, or academic programsWhy Join ISNAOpportunity for community-centric growth and developmentMeaningful work supporting Islamic education with a national visionCollaborative and mission-driven environment that is focused on excellence and sincere serviceWork closely with a fastly-growing team of qualified speakers and religious scholarship
