Position Description Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer Manager, The Electrical Engineer at Jamesway Chick Master will lead the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes for electrical components and systems. This includes supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), improving throughput, and ensuring compliance with industry standards such as UL, CE, and CSA. Duties & Responsibilities Design and optimize manufacturing processes for electrical components (e.g., control systems, wiring harnesses). Collaborate with product design teams to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM). Create work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions for production issues. Evaluate and recommend automation and tooling upgrades to improve throughput and reduce defects. Analyze production metrics to identify cost reduction and process improvement opportunities. Support NPI by developing scalable and repeatable processes. Train and support production staff on electrical assembly techniques and safety procedures. Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or electrical design. Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
