JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Systems Specialist is a collaborative and key member of the Cloud and Data Center team. This position will support and maintain the lifecycle of services and solutions to satisfy business and operational requirements using internal and industry best practices.Now is your chance to join our team to make a lasting impact as a Systems Specialist.This position requires full-time on-site presence.All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).RESPONSIBILITIESDesign and implement scalable, secure, and highly available Azure cloud solutionsCollaborate with architects and developers to translate business requirements into technical solutionsLead the deployment and configuration of Azure services including compute, storage, networking, and identityImplement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like ARM templates, Bicep, or TerraformEnsure system reliability and performance through monitoring, alerting, and automated recovery strategiesConduct root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes for incidents and outagesOptimize cloud costs and resource utilizationMaintain security and compliance standards across all Azure environmentsProvide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineersQUALIFICATIONSEducation Required: A university degree, college diploma or a related discipline3-8 years of experience in IT Environments (Systems) Knowledge/Experience in: Active Directory (AD), AD Federated Services (ADFS), Server OS (Windows/Linux), Virtualization, Storage, Enterprise Backup ServicesKnowledge/Experience in Cloud Platforms such as Azure and AmazonEffective customer service and communication skillsStrong attention to detail while being able to pivot to changing priorities Work well in a collaborative environmentBonus: Microsoft Certified Systems Associate, or Microsoft Certified Azure AssociateITIL Foundations CertificationSix Sigma - Yellow Belt CertificationABOUT USFounded in 1882, J.D.
