What you will do Reporting to the Transportation Maintenance Superintendent (Bridges & Buildings), the successful candidate will be responsible for the following responsibilities: * providing leadership, guidance, and support to employees, while ensuring effective teamwork and performance; * direction and supervision of employees and personnel engaged in the maintenance and repairs of bridges, culverts and buildings as well as participation in these tasks; * inspections for the purpose of preventative maintenance to departmental standards; * adhere to budget guidelines and environmental safety regulations; * maintain daily records and reports and perform other work as required. Work environment: * Office location: Fredericton. * Work holidays, weekends, and/or variable hours. * May work in adverse weather conditions and must be able to work at heights. * We promote a scent-reduced environment. Who you are Key behavioural competencies: * Analytical Thinking/Jugement * Developing Others * Effective Interactive Communication * Organizational Commitment * Results Orientation * Team Leadership Essential qualifications: * Graduation from high school or GED with A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the maintenance of bridges, including a minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. * Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. * Valid Class 5 driver’s license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick. Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability. Exigences
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, along with at least three years of experience in bridge maintenance, including one year in a supervisory role. A valid Class 5 driver's license and proficiency in English are also required.
