The estimator is responsible for gathering information from the sales department to prepare accurate cost analyses and material quantity assessments. They must draft formal proposals and maintain collaborative relationships with internal departments such as production, purchasing, and customer service.

The ideal candidate will be organized, motivated, meticulous, and driven; previous experience as an estimator in a manufacturing company would be an asset. International company with 18 manufacturing sites across North America. Responsibilities and duties: * Prepare the work to be estimated by gathering all information from internal sales; * Obtain material pricing and perform cost analysis; * Review product specifications to accurately determine material quantities required; * Write quotes and other documents accurately to create and submit proposals to clients; * Ensure estimates are completed in a timely manner; * Establish and maintain working relationships with other departments such as sales, planning, purchasing, customer service, production, and shipping; * Contribute to team efforts by achieving related results as needed; Skill Requirements: * Proven estimating experience (preferably in a manufacturing and/or technical environment); * Detail-oriented and high analytical skills; * Proficient at completing analysis and reports using Excel; * Excellent verbal and written communications skills; * Strong listening and presentation skills; * Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively; * Ability to work in an organized manner and in a fast-paced environment; * Ability to work in team; * Ability to use computer tools (Microsoft Office, accounting, CRM, etc.).
