Job Title: Operations LeadJob Description We are seeking an experienced Operations Lead with a strong background in PCB assembly, SMT manufacturing, and electronics manufacturing engineering. This role requires a hands-on understanding of SMT production equipment, PCB assembly processes, and electronics manufacturing defects, along with proven experience leading process improvements in high-reliability environments such as aerospace, defense, or medical devices. Responsibilities Lead and improve manufacturing processes in a PCB, SMT, or EMS environment. Enhance yield, throughput, quality, equipment utilization, and labor efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, procurement, and quality. Influence stakeholders and drive change in a hands-on manufacturing setting. Identify root causes of issues and implement sustainable corrective actions. Translate technical manufacturing issues into clear operational priorities. Essential Skills Significant experience in PCB assembly and SMT manufacturing. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on practical solutions. Excellent communication skills for technical and operational translation. Experience with Hanwha SMT equipment or similar platforms. Familiarity with IPC standards like IPC-A-610, J-STD-001. Experience in regulated or high-reliability industries. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing data analysis. Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Experience developing KPIs, dashboards, and management systems. Experience in scaling or professionalizing electronics manufacturing facilities. Work Environment The work environment is a collaborative, hands-on manufacturing setting where employees work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams. This role is highly visible and provides autonomy to make quick decisions, implement improvements, and directly influence the operational performance of a growing, high-reliability electronics manufacturing facility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Mississauga, ON. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $57.00/hr.
