Role Description Constrata Consultants is seeking experienced Schedulers, Forensic Delay Analysts, and Quantum Analysts to support our growing portfolio of construction and infrastructure assignments. Preferred Background and Qualifications We welcome applications from experienced professionals with construction, and quantity surveying background ranging from Intermediate to Directing roles, with 8-25 years of experience, depending on the position and assignment. Relevant professional credentials or active progress toward recognized credentials are considered assets, including: PMI-SP, PMI-RMP, PMP, PSP, CCP, DRMP, P.Eng., MRICS, PQS, MCIArb, etc. Annual Salary Range: 60,000 - 240,000 PLANNING & SCHEDULING PROFESSIONALS We are seeking technically strong scheduling professionals capable of independently developing, maintaining, reviewing, and challenging complex construction schedules. Key responsibilities and competencies include: Develop and maintain Level 3, Level 4, and detailed execution schedules using Critical Path Method (CPM) principles. Develop compliant baseline schedules, periodic updates, look-ahead schedules, recovery schedules, and revised baseline schedules. Establish and maintain appropriate Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), coding structures, calendars, activity logic, constraints, milestones, and resource-loading frameworks. Perform detailed critical path, near-critical path, total float, free float, longest-path, and schedule variance analysis. Assess schedule health, logic integrity, sequencing, constructability, and compliance with contractual scheduling requirements. Analyze progress against approved baselines and identify emerging delays, slippage, productivity concerns, and schedule risks. Develop schedule narratives, dashboards, progress reports, variance explanations, and management-level schedule reporting. Review contractor and subcontractor schedules for technical adequacy, feasibility, completeness, and contractual compliance. Perform schedule impact assessments associated with changes, design development, procurement, access restrictions, third-party interfaces, and construction events. Support schedule forecasting, recovery planning, scenario modelling, and mitigation strategies. Integrate engineering, procurement, approvals, permitting, construction, commissioning, testing, turnover, and closeout activities into integrated project schedules. Support project controls functions including progress measurement, earned value, forecasting, schedule risk, and performance reporting. Maintain high-quality contemporaneous schedule records capable of supporting future entitlement, delay, or dispute analysis where required. Advanced proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 is strongly preferred. Experience with Microsoft Project, schedule analytics platforms, Power BI, or complementary project controls systems is an asset. Direct scheduling experience on wastewater & water treatment, pumping station, linear infrastructure, utilities, or comparable municipal infrastructure projects is an asset, along with major infrastructure, transit, transportation, energy, industrial, utilities, or complex multidisciplinary construction projects. FORENSIC DELAY ANALYSTS We are seeking experienced delay professionals capable of performing rigorous, evidence-based forensic schedule analysis in support of claims, counterclaims, dispute resolution, expert assignments, and independent assessments. Key responsibilities and competencies include: Perform detailed forensic delay and disruption analysis using contemporaneous project records and recognized analytical methodologies. Evaluate contractual and factual entitlement associated with delay, extension of time, disruption, acceleration, mitigation, and concurrency. Analyze baseline schedules, schedule updates, revisions, progress records, contemporaneous correspondence, daily reports, meeting records, change documentation, and other project evidence. Determine the critical path and driving path contemporaneously throughout the project, rather than relying solely on retrospective end-state analysis. Identify and assess employer, contractor, subcontractor, design, access, procurement, third-party, force majeure, and other delay events. Assess causation, criticality, concurrency, pacing, mitigation, float ownership, and responsibility for delay. Select and apply the most appropriate delay methodology based on the available records, contract requirements, project circumstances, and purpose of the analysis. Perform and critically assess methodologies such as: Time Impact Analysis; Windows Analysis; As-Planned versus As-Built; Collapsed As-Built / But-For Analysis Prepare technically robust delay chronologies, event matrices, fragnet analyses, schedule exhibits, entitlement assessments, and analytical narratives. Critically review opposing-party delay analyses and identify methodological, factual, scheduling, and causation deficiencies. Support preparation of claims, counterclaims, rebuttals, expert reports, adjudication submissions, arbitration proceedings, mediation, and litigation support. Maintain clear traceability between factual evidence, schedule analysis, contractual entitlement, and analytical conclusions. Apply recognized professional guidance including relevant AACE International Recommended Practices and the Society of Construction Law Delay and Disruption Protocol. Advanced Primavera P6 capability and strong understanding of CPM scheduling principles are highly desirable. Candidates with experience supporting independent experts, expert witnesses, adjudications, arbitrations, major claims, or complex construction disputes are particularly encouraged to apply. QUANTUM ANALYSTS We are seeking commercially and technically strong Quantum Analysts capable of investigating, substantiating, assessing, and quantifying complex construction claims and damages. Key responsibilities and competencies include: Perform detailed quantum, damages, and cost analysis in connection with construction claims, counterclaims, disputes, and commercial assessments. Quantify the financial consequences of: Prolongation; Disruption and loss of productivity; Acceleration; Delay; Additional and unforeseen work; Suspension; Inefficiency; Escalation; Termination; Extended overhead; Labour and equipment impacts Analyze actual costs, budgets, forecasts, cost reports, payroll records, timesheets, invoices, purchase orders, subcontract accounts, equipment records, productivity data, and other contemporaneous cost evidence. Develop transparent and auditable cost build-ups and damages models that clearly demonstrate factual and financial causation. Perform labour productivity and disruption assessments using appropriate methodologies such as measured mile analysis, earned-hours analysis, productivity comparisons, and other recognized techniques where supported by the available evidence. Assess site overhead, project overhead, head-office overhead, extended general conditions, labour burden, equipment, material, subcontractor, escalation, financing, and other recoverable cost components. Review and evaluate variations, change orders, compensation events, claims, subcontractor submissions, and final-account positions. Test claimed costs for entitlement, causation, reasonableness, duplication, mitigation, contemporaneous substantiation, and contractual recoverability. Reconcile claimed amounts against project accounting records and contemporaneous commercial documentation. Prepare claim schedules, quantum matrices, cost models, expert-support calculations, appendices, and analytical narratives. Identify unsupported, duplicated, overstated, misallocated, or otherwise non-recoverable costs. Support the preparation and review of claims, counterclaims, adjudications, arbitrations, expert reports, settlement evaluations, and independent commercial assessments. Work closely with delay analysts, schedulers, contracts professionals, legal counsel, project teams, and independent experts to establish clear linkage between event, entitlement, causation, duration, and quantum. Apply recognized quantity surveying, cost management, claims, damages, and dispute-resolution methodologies appropriate to the assignment. Candidates with backgrounds in quantity surveying, commercial management, cost engineering, construction claims, forensic accounting, or damages analysis are encouraged to apply.
