The mission we are proposing: Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Analyst ensures the integrity and accuracy of financial information by performing the analyses necessary for decision-making. He or she ensures the proper valuation of inventory and production costs, contributes to month-end processes, and produces periodic financial reports. The incumbent also supports financial forecasting and auditing activities, while participating in the continuous improvement of accounting processes. An overview of your new position Reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure their accuracy Optimize accounting processes and strengthen internal management controls Support the commercial team in the operational management and monitoring of customer inventories, including maintaining and validating data in customer systems Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between financial and operational information Maintain up-to-date tracking of capital expenditures (CAPEX) by project to ensure adequate financial visibility Record supplier discounts in accordance with current contractual agreements Participate in the preparation and execution of the annual financial statement audit Perform month-end reconciliations related to inventory reserves, credits, and invoicing Contribute to the implementation and optimization of financial systems Participate in the closing of accounting periods Comply with company policies and procedures (OHS, GMP, dress code, etc.) Perform any other related tasks assigned by the supervisor as operational needs arise You are the ideal candidate if you have Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or accounting, with at least 1 to 3 years of relevant experience; or College diploma in accounting or a related field, with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience; Experience ideally gained in a manufacturing environment; Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (advanced level); Knowledge of the AS400 system (an asset) Bilingualism required (French and English) Bilingualism is required to communicate with certain clients and stakeholders and to analyze financial documents, most of which are in English.
