We are currently seeking an experienced Parts Person/Parts Advisor to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, customer-focused professional who has a strong background in automotive parts and is committed to providing outstanding service. Automotive Parts Advisor experience is required for this position. Position Summary As an Experienced Parts Person, you will be the first point of contact for customers requiring automotive parts and accessories. You will identify the correct parts, provide expert recommendations, maintain inventory accuracy, and deliver an exceptional customer experience every day. The successful candidate is organized, detail-oriented, knowledgeable about automotive parts, and enjoys working in a fast-paced dealership environment. You will work closely with technicians, service advisors, and customers while helping ensure the Parts Department operates efficiently. Key Responsibilities Customer Service Greet customers promptly in person and over the phone. Provide friendly, professional, and knowledgeable service. Accurately identify and source the correct parts for customer and technician needs. Answer customer inquiries regarding pricing, availability, warranties, and delivery times. Resolve customer concerns professionally while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Build lasting relationships that encourage repeat business. Parts Operations Interpret customer requests and accurately identify required automotive parts. Recommend additional parts and accessories when appropriate. Assist the Service Department with timely parts support. Process customer orders efficiently and accurately. Receive, stock, label, and organize incoming inventory. Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation. Assist with shipping, receiving, returns, and warranty parts. Inventory & Organization Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Ensure inventory is correctly stored and labelled. Complete paperwork accurately and on time. Keep pricing guides, catalogs, and electronic systems current. Lift and move parts weighing up to 50 lbs. throughout the workday. Product Knowledge Stay current with Ford products, accessories, and manufacturer programs. Maintain knowledge of aftermarket products and industry trends. Participate in dealership and manufacturer training. Promote dealership specials and accessories whenever appropriate. Qualifications Experience is required. Please note that this is not an entry-level position. The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience working as an Automotive Parts Advisor or Parts Person. Strong automotive parts knowledge. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Accurate computer and data entry skills. Good mathematical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dealership environment. Flexibility to work scheduled evenings and Saturdays when required. Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record. Education Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent. Automotive Parts certification or additional related training is considered an asset. A solid understanding of automotive mechanical systems is required.
