We are looking to hire a Supervisor, Tractor/Trailer Shop for our growing Fleet Repair & Maintenance facility in Sherwood Park. As part of our small and cohesive team, you will be responsible for Supervising a team of apprentices and Journeyman level technicians, guiding, assisting and hands on in diagnosing mechanical, air, hydraulic and electrical system defects and maintenance and repair to our fleet of company owned trucks and trailers as well as those of our Owner Operators. We are looking for a technician with leadership level experience and technical knowledge to provide support to others in the shop with a desire to grow and develop. The full-time, permanent shift offers 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. What we are looking for: * A certified Heavy Equipment Technician (or Red Seal equivalent) with experience working on on-road trucks and trailers * Certified CVIP for both trucks and trailers * Class 1 or 3A would be an asset for shunting equipment * Supervisory experience and/or a demonstrated ability to train and coach technicians * Team oriented with ability to create a healthy team environment * Comfortable with Microsoft office and ability to learn our shop software * Administrative tasks including but not limited to: ordering parts, managing inventory, creating/closing work orders, coordinating vacation requests * Technician that has own tools and safety boots * Safety first approach to work & commitment to continuous learning * Must be physically fit (able to lift approx. 50 lbs., kneeling and crouching for extended periods of time), * Candidates must have own vehicle as public transportation is not available to our site, * Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test (as this position is safety sensitive it falls under Kleysen’s Controlled Substance Policy) Why choose Kleysen?
