Kuthala Storage and Fleet Solutions provide extensive warehousing, outdoor storage, fuel card programs, and 24/7 repair and towing services. The group also includes Kuthala Capital for business and real estate financing, Kuthala Parts for heavy equipment components, and Kuthala Real Estate for ongoing investment opportunities. Role Description The Transport Safety role is a full-time, on-site position based in Georgetown, ON. This role is responsible for monitoring and promoting safety practices across transport operations, including driver behavior, vehicle condition, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include conducting safety audits and inspections, reviewing incident reports, coordinating corrective actions, and maintaining accurate safety documentation and records. The role also involves delivering safety training and orientation, supporting risk assessments, and collaborating with operations and fleet management to improve safety performance. The Transport Safety professional will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent adherence to company safety policies and applicable laws. Qualifications Knowledge of transportation safety regulations, compliance standards, and best practices in trucking and logistics. Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments for vehicles, drivers, and facilities. Ability to develop and deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and educational materials for diverse teams. Strong skills in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Proficiency in maintaining safety records, preparing reports, and using basic computer applications for documentation. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills to work effectively with drivers, operations staff, and management. Demonstrated attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to a safety-first culture. Relevant education or certification in occupational health and safety, transportation safety, or a related field is an asset. Previous experience in a transport, logistics, or fleet environment is preferred. Ability to work on-site in Georgetown, ON, and occasionally travel to other locations as required.
