Position: Senior CICS Systems Programmer Client: Private Sector Banking Client Location: Toronto Duration: 1 year initial contract Language: English Background Kyndryl Canada is supporting our private sector client who requires a Senior CICS Systems Programmer to assist in planning, analysis, design, building, testing, consulting and implementation on CICS related projects Qualifications 5-10 years working CICS Sound understanding of CICS, CICSPlex and CTG internal and externals Sound understanding of z/OS components and architecture Sound knowledge of z/OS and CICS diagnostics tools and tooling Working knowledge of SMP/e, Omegamon and System Automation Performance analysis skills is an asset Solid problem-solving skills Good written and verbal communication skills Expected Tasks Maintaining CICS infrastructure on the z/OS platform Support CICS related products Support CICS application developers Support and/or Lead in the mentoring of less experienced CICS Systems Programmers Lead Contributor for CICS usage and features #IndKyn Please note this is for a contract position with one of our clients and not a fulltime employment role with Kyndryl Canada**

The role involves maintaining CICS infrastructure on the z/OS platform and supporting CICS related products and application developers. The candidate will also lead and mentor less experienced CICS Systems Programmers.

Requires 5-10 years of experience with CICS, including a sound understanding of CICSPlex, CTG, and z/OS architecture. Proficiency with diagnostics tools, SMP/e, and Omegamon is expected.
