Our team and what we’ll accomplish together As an Occupational Health and Safety Consultant, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients participating in the Health and Safety Excellence program, providing strategic guidance to enhance workplace health and safety. Utilizing your expertise in occupational health and safety laws and regulations, you will support clients in achieving program objectives and driving meaningful improvements. In this high-impact role, you will lead virtual consultations, facilitate webinars, and collaborate with the team to develop innovative resources. You will play a critical role in guiding program implementation, evaluating outcomes, and fostering long-term client relationships, including supporting contract renewals. What you'll do Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, providing high-level guidance on enhancing occupational health and safety culture and practices. Facilitate the successful participation of clients in the Health and Safety Excellence program, ensuring alignment with their organizational goals. Evaluate and provide expert feedback on client-submitted documentation to meet program requirements. Design and develop innovative learning resources and practical tools to support client success and program effectiveness. What you bring Certificate, continuing education, or university diploma with a focus on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Administration, or a related field. 2–5 years of work experience in occupational health and safety, with a proven track record of practical application. Strong knowledge of OHS legislation and regulations specific to Ontario, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). Familiarity with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) Health and Safety Excellence program. Demonstrated ability to take independent action in complex OHS cases or situations. Experience in performing workplace hazard assessments, incident investigations, and developing corrective action plans. Excellent communication skills (oral and written), including the ability to prepare reports, policies, and training materials. Proficient in using various platforms and common applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, health and safety software). Highly developed organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. In-depth knowledge of the WSIB Health and Safety Excellence program, including its requirements, processes, and benefits. Experience in delivering workplace health and safety training programs. Great-to-have Bilingualism (French and English) is a strong asset. Experience in assisting organizations with enrollment, implementation, and achieving recognition within the WSIB Health and Safety Excellence program is an asset. Salary Range: $58,100.00 - $83,000.00 Performance Bonus: 7% Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
