Company Description MathWave Education Academy is a Canadian education academy focused on delivering high-quality, Ontario curriculum-aligned mathematics instruction for students in Grades 1–12. The academy emphasizes strong mathematical foundations and conceptual understanding through structured lessons, guided practice, and problem-solving. Instruction moves beyond memorization and shortcuts, helping students understand the logic behind mathematical concepts and apply their knowledge effectively in different contexts. MathWave’s small-group Core and Advanced classes provide a supportive learning environment where students can build lasting confidence and achieve long-term academic success. Educators at MathWave join a collaborative team committed to meaningful, student-centred mathematics education. Role Description This is a part-time, on-site position for a Math Teacher supporting students in Grades 1–12. The academy is conveniently located near Yonge Street and Steeles Avenue in the Greater Toronto Area and is easily accessible by public transit. The teacher will deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned mathematics lessons using MathWave’s structured lesson plans and teaching materials. Responsibilities include direct classroom instruction, guiding problem-solving activities, adapting explanations to different learning needs, monitoring student progress, and providing constructive feedback. Teachers will maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, collaborate with MathWave’s academic team, contribute to student progress reporting, and communicate observations or concerns as needed. The position may also involve participation in teacher training, staff meetings, and the development or improvement of supplemental learning resources. Teaching hours are primarily during weekday afternoons and evenings and on weekends. Qualifications Strong subject-matter knowledge in mathematics, with the ability to teach one or more grade ranges from Grades 1–12. Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Education, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
