If you are organized, detail-oriented, and have a passion for helping patients, we invite you to apply for this rewarding position. *Job Overview: *As an experienced Medical Administrative Assistant at our facility, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of our clinic. You will be responsible for managing administrative tasks, coordinating patient appointments, and providing excellent customer service to our patients and their families. *Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:* *Patient Scheduling:* * Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, consultations, and follow-up visits. * Ensure accurate scheduling of diagnostic tests, procedures, and surgeries as per physician recommendations. * Confirm appointments and provide patients with necessary instructions and information. *Patient Records Management:* * Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, personal information, and insurance details. * Ensure compliance with PHIPA regulations in handling patient information. * Assist in filing and organizing medical records both electronically and in physical form. *Billing and Insurance:* * Verify patient insurance coverage and process insurance claims. * Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries and billing issues. * Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. *Front Desk Operations:* * Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner. * Manage incoming phone calls, inquiries, and emails. * Maintain a clean and organized work area. *Administrative Support:* * Provide administrative support to physicians, including typing correspondence, reports, and other documents. * Manage physician schedules, ensuring efficient use of their time. * Assist in ordering office supplies and maintaining office equipment. *Communication and Coordination:* * Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare staff. * Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care. *Qualifications:* * Certification or training in medical office administration * Proven experience as a Medical Secretary or similar role, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a cardiology * Proficiency in medical terminology, medical billing, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. * Attention to detail and accuracy. * Knowledge of PHIPA regulations and patient confidentiality. * Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
